Please join me today in praying the rosary for our country, for the souls of all those who lost their lives on this day 18 years ago, and for those who have died since because of the effects of this tragedy.
“God of peace, bring your peace to our violent world: peace in the hearts of all men and women and peace among the nations of the earth.”
~Pope Benedict XVI, Ground Zero, 2008

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, commemorating the first of six appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three Portuguese children in 1917. Her message is one of love for souls, prayer and penance. She told the children, “Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners.” She also gave us the Fatima Prayer for souls that we recite after each decade of the rosary. “Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy.” All she wants to do is to lead us to her Son, Jesus Christ. “The loveliest masterpiece of the heart of God is the heart of a mother.” St. Therese of Lisieux. I love this quote as it always draws my mind to The Immaculate Heart of Mary and all that her motherly heart endured. All the joy, all the sorrow, all the love, all the grace. Motherhood is filled with all this and more. I am especially grateful for my own mom, sisters, family and friends who have influenced and mentored me on this most beautiful journey of motherhood. Belated Mother’s Day Blessings to all.💗🙏🏻💗#throughthegrapevinegifts #praytherosary
